# Delete recording button

The DVR function is great. But what it really needs is a button to click while watching a recording to delete that recording like 99.9% of all other DVR hardware/software has.

@smw65 This might be an odd question, but why would you want to delete something you are watching? There is already a delete button you can use once you’ve watched something (or delete it before you’ve finished watching if you stop it).

In most DVR software you can delete after the episode/show is over. I haven’t seen the delete button you’re talking about in the web client, or the Windows client. Right now the only delete that seems to be available (aside from the automated ‘delete after X days’ function I mean) is to remove it from the media directory manually and rescan. If there’s a delete button someplace I’ve missed it.

@smw65 Goto your server settings and under the library section you should see the following option, make sure it’s ticked and then you will see the delete function.
