Deleted Version of MOVIE still playing

Server Version#:
Player Version#:

I deleted a version of a movie that had the subtitles burned in instead of as an option. I then replaced it with a NEW version that didn’t have this problem. I checked in recycling and do not see the OLD version.

However, when I play the movie I get a nice blue number 2 in the upper left corner showing that there are 2 versions. The OLD version still seems to play even though it has been deleted from the server. I have done a search to try to find where this version still resides, but don’t see it. I emptied everything from recycling too.

Is a version temporarily saved somewhere else outside my server?

How do I ensure that the OLD version is fully removed?

Using Plex Web, https://app.plex.tv/desktop

When viewing the library, click on the three vertical dots in lower right corner and choose Get Info. It will show you the location of both files.

If you’re on the movie pre-play screen, click the three horizontal dots to the right of the Play button and choose Get Info.

Move the undesired version outside the view of Plex’s scanners.

Manually re-scan the library if Plex does not do so automatically. Hover over library name, select three dots to right of library name, select “Scan Library Files.”

This should eliminate the undesired version from Plex.

If all else fails, delete the undesired version from your NAS and Plex Dance the desired version.

Thank You!

It didn’t actually show me the location, but it did show me the names of the files and from that I could find it.
