It seems that most Plex client apps do not allow for browsing from a film’s details page to the film’s director, unlike what one can usually do by selecting any actor listed. This is an egregious oversight.

Just clarifying… you’re talking about opening the [Discover Credits](https://support.plex.tv/articles/discover-credits/) page of the director when clicking on the name of a director – same as it’s now implemented for cast members – instead of showing the filtered view of the same library?

My preference would be to show the filtered view in the same library of the director. Or the pop-up that we see on the fat clients if the director matches to multiple libraries.

That should already work … at least in the clients I’m using (e.g. Plex Web, iOS/tvOS…)

Just catching up on this suggestion. From what I’ve seen Plex has consolidated directors of a show / movie in the new „Cast & Crew“ hub. It’s been implemented on Roku too.
With that in mind I consider this suggestion as implemented.
