# Disable Automatic Collection Generation

- In Plex Media Server up to 1.19.5 you can disable the automatic creation of collections in the advanced settings of each library (`Use collection info from The Movie Database`)
- [As of 1.20.0](https://forums.plex.tv/t/plex-media-server/30447/357) (currently in beta) you can use the new Plex Movie agent. Automatic collection creation can also be disabled – however you can alternatively set a minimum threshold of items in your library that need to be part of a collection for Plex to actually create it.
