[[Implemented] Server-Side Speed Limits/Caps for Shared/Subscribed Users](https://forums.plex.tv/t/implemented-server-side-speed-limits-caps-for-shared-subscribed-users/42854/575) for a bit more info on that setting.

It won’t magically make things play that wouldn’t without transcoding. Many clients give a bogus message when you use that settings as it’s not well tested.
