# Disabling auto update on windows client

Server Version#:  
Player Version#: Version 1.108.1.307-dd5b87aa  
Since the plex devs break SVP with each update, is there a way to completely disable the autoupdater? having to click no, then click on the rror message and starting the player again is really cumbersome.
