Do PLEX programers EVER address these constant errors? File errors make for a REAL MESS when trying to view DVR recodings!

I have been keeping a record of some of the errors, as follows:
Repeated errors in recording and the information displayed; recorded listings are often wrong!
Names, dates, including years, channels, etc. These all have to be data programming errors.

6/2/20: BBC World News Today was PBS Susie Ormand instead!
Example: CBS Evening News was not CBS, but really was WGN Chicago News
6/4/20: NBC Nightly News, “June 7 Sun” is actually NOT June 7!!
6/5/20: NBC Nightly News, listed as 6/9/20!
ABC had the correct date.
Plex 6/6/20: BBC Weekend News, is actually CBS Evening News
Plex 6/7/20: “60 Minutes, season 52, episode 35, June 14, 2020”
6/9/29: PBS Newshour, listed as June4, 2020, was actually a cooking show. I would never record a cooking show, so this is further evidence of yet another screw up!
Plex recording, 6/13/20: BBC Weekend News, was actually CBS Weekend News!
“ NBC Nightly News June 20 Sat, was NBC Nightly News June 16
6/17/20: recording NBC Nightly News, episode169, Jun 21, 2020
Enough already!! Fix this ridiculous problem!
Why can’t the programmers stop these insane mistakes???
Some time ago the sane thing was happening, but not this much, but then someone addressed the problem and
it didn’t happen for a while, but now it’s daily!

Sounds like you got a bad EPG guide or something got messed up when you setup live tv & dvr within Plex.
Are you using the default Plex EPG for your region of is this a custom configuration on your end?

If you come across errors please do report them giving
lineup name (appears at the top in DVR Settings), channel number, channel name., series, episode, airing time/timezone and what the error is and it will be looked into and referred to our provider

Earlier this year a change came in to stop matching recordings to tvdb as it was leading to multiple recordings or lost recordings in the event of a sequencing error - see EPG metadata is now retained for DVR recordings

I don’t use DVR, but what I can tell based on release notes, DVR is the only thing they’ve cared about for the last 20 versions, to say the least. Some topics like " Sync Original Quality still does a conversion" are being ignored, so believe me when I say you are privileged.
