# Download fail

Thanks for the [server logs.](https://support.plex.tv/articles/200250417-plex-media-server-log-files/) For downloads issues, it is crucial that diagnostics are provided from both sides - the plex app doing the download and the plex media server

I can see transcodes for downloads starting for `Toy Story.mkv` and `Toy Story 2.mkv` at 21:00 on 18th Feb but the transcode is beings topped by the Plex client app a few seconds later. Would need the corresponding logs for this period from the Plex app

Observation: Seeing a lot of relaunches of Plex Media Server - a bit strange relaunching every few minutes. - was it to do with the network issue I mention below?

PMS Launch at 17:43 - ran to 20:38  
PMS Launch at 20:39 - ran to 20:40  
PMS Launch at 20:42 - ran to 20:47  
PMS Launch at 20:52 - ran to 21:00  
PMS Launch at 21:00 - ran to 21:02  
PMS Launch at 21:02 - ran to 21:05

I see you are running PMS as service or scheduled task - there is PMS As A Service wrapper provided by a user here which you could consider [PMS as a service - General Discussions / Tips, Tricks & How-Tos - Plex Forum](https://forums.plex.tv/t/pms-as-a-service/53381)

Another observation: Some transient network issues

DNS / Internet down at these times - repeated errors at these times
