How this isn’t a thing I am not sure. All of my 4K media is “optimized” for mobile. Instead of re-transcoding a giant movie why can’t I just download the optimized version? Needs to be a thing. ---

There’s already an existing feature suggestion discussing an option to download a specific version of a movie, namely an optimized version that’s compatible with the device. I suggest you comment/vote in that thread in order to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes. Unless I’m missing some unique aspect of your suggestion I’ll close this thread as a duplicate. > [@Sync specific media version](https://forums.plex.tv/t/sync-specific-media-version/352795): > > Hello Plex team, It would be great if we could sync a specific version of a multi-version media file to the device. Is this a feature that could easily be implemented? With the growing presence of 4K versions, I believe more and more users follow the approach of having a second, lower quality, version of the movie available for remote playing. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts, Filipe ---
