Downloads feature not on Photos Library?

Sorry if I’ve missed a post on this topic, but searching for “downloads” results in a long list of topics that aren’t what I’m searching for.

I would like to be able to sync for offline viewing some of my photos - it does not appear that the button to select / initiate the download process is present? I can see it when I sync / download music - which seems to be working okay for me, but I don’t see the same process on photos media. Am I missing something?

Photo is not supported with Downloads. Maybe in the future.

This is pretty ■■■■■■. Sync worked with photos, now the functionality has been removed without replacement. Really disappointed at how current mobile releases entirely deprioritize photos.
