DSM7.0 Can't give access Plex to a folder

Server Version#:1.25.0.546-7000

I Update the nas to the DSM7.0.
Also updated Plex to the newest available.

Everything seems fine BUT i can’t add my photo collection.

The NAS and plex is installed on an SSD(Volume 2), And i have a HDD with my photos (Volume 1 )

I have some film and tv shows in an external HDD connected via USB. → I managed to add these to the plex, everything works fine.

But i can’t add my Photos from the volume 1.
I cant brows the folder on the plex: /volume1/photo/MyPictures → (There should be more subfolders!)

In the Plex Medi Server.1.log:
Nov 24, 2021 20:21:31.510 [0x7f9b5684ab38] WARN - Error scanning directory, we’ll skip and continue: boost::filesystem::directory_iterator::construct: Permission denied: “/volume1/photo/Bence_oneplus_save”

I guess some permission is not given correctly in the DMS but: i configured this:

Still Plex can’t see the folder correctly.

What should i do?
Please someone help me.

Thanks,
-Bence

Plex share gets Full Control , which is granted by “CUSTOM”

Here is another way to accomplish the same task

Hello,
Thansk for the response.

For the PlexMediaServer folder it has the otpion u mention but for the Photos some options are missing:

But the PlexMediaServer user is enabled as Read/Write but the Admin options are missing too.

It seems the this folder is still has the options of the old system.

I created a new shared folder and copied some photos to it. It was working correctly, maybe i will just copy every photo to this new shared folder.
Still a shame something during the migration went wrong with the folder.

  1. Please do not confuse normal Read-only / Read-Write permission with the permissions we assign to move the contents of the Plex shared folder.

  2. You want to follow these instructions (changing permissions for the user username) for normal media folders
