# Duplicate Plex entry for one file

The easiest way to resolve this is to [Plex Dance](https://forums.plex.tv/t/the-plex-dance/197064) the movie.

While you do lose the watch history for it, PMS completely removes both entries from the DB and then creates one entry when you re-add the movie back into your library.

It’s a rare race condition. Engineering knows what’s happening but not been able to pinpoint where in the code so it can be fixed permanently.
