DVR - how to prevent grabbing of season/episode metadata

My setting are as follows and it only uses data from the EPG

Yup we both use the same settings.

if you are seeing wrong data using these settings then it’s the EPG that has the wrong data and not anything that is being downloaded from the internet.

I have tried to switch EPG providers (by selecting a different provider with the same channels in the channel mapping portion of the DVR setup) but I still get the same false season/episoide data.

As I am located in Austria, I understood this post to say that all my EPG data is provided by Gracenote - without an option to turn that off or use a different provider.
