I’m new to all this but a few months ago I became a Plex lifetime pass holder mainly out of respect for all the hard work Plex has put out for truly a remarkable product. It is just recently in the last four days that I purchased a HD HomeRun device and decided I wanted to DVR program OTA. I have gotten everything working except I created a directory next to my TV Shows and Movies called DVR. How do I tell Plex to save all DVR programs to that directory on my Synology DS218+ server? I am running a Mac. Thanks for any help you can be. The more I use Plex, the more I appreciate what a great piece of software it is.

Plex will want to save TV recordings in a TV Library and movie recordings in a Movies Library, so minimally, you’ll need create two Plex libraries, one of each type.
This support article talks about creating Libraries; once you’ve done that, one or the other library will show up when you set up a recording.

Darcy, is this pretty much the de facto method for handling this and is this pretty much fool-proof?
