# EAC3 decoder not working

Okay I found the problem. Any file with a eac3 audio encoding is not playing (as described above).

[This thread](https://forums.plex.tv/t/odd-behavior-its-like-transcoder-is-broken/686824/12) led me to check the codecs folder in the plexmedialibrary. I cannot find any eac3 decoder…

How do I add that one? Or better: where do I find it?
