This question has being raised in the public part of the forum. I hope that by pushing it in the Plex Pass forum, we can get some attention.

I received a login screen that requested me to login with Google/Facebook or emails but it is looing endlessly. On the same PC, I can log in using the Plex Media Player. Applications on iPad, Android and Samsung TV are working fine.
Using other browsers (IE or Firefox) is sometimes not working ([status.plex.tv](http://status.plex.tv) is showing all status green).

Strange enough, when I log in on [plex.tv](http://plex.tv) using Edge and click on the launch button it is working but I have an indirect connection to my local server.

I am running Plex 1.9.5.4339 on a Ubuntu 14.04.05.

That is a separate issue and it has to do with the integrated ‘DNS rebinding’ protection in Edge.
It somehow detects Plex’s use of DNS as a ‘rebinding attack’ (when it truly is not.
Microsoft was informed about the issue but has not done anything about it yet.

The only thing you can do is to either:

- Don’t use Edge but a different web browser to access content on a Plex server _in the same local network_
- disable ‘Secure Connections’ on the server

Thanks @m3xiz for posting here. I had started a discussion on the public forum and I was going to raise it here. The odd thing is Edge had been working fine for a long time. I’m thinking this started after the Fall Creators Update. It is a bit of an inconvenience running multiple browsers just so certain things will work, but I guess it will have to do for now.

The explanation lets me quite surprise: even if I use the ip address it does not work. If it is DNS related, it should work but it isn’t.
