At this moment I see only “Looking for devices”.

Yes, Airplay support has been sporadic since iOS6, blame Apple, sorry.

hi,  
same problem here:  
i am trying to airplay audio content (let say from a spotify app) from an ipad2 (ios 9) to raspberry pi2 (rasplex) but the rasplex icon does not show up under airplay.  
i have never been able to airplay from the ipad to rasplex (airplay functionality is flagged under rasplex’s settings)  
i can airplay audio content to rasplex from an imac (10.7).

If i use the raspberry pi2 with a different OS (runeaudio, based on archlinux) the airplay functionality from the ipad to the raspberry (runeaudio) works flawlessly. if it was an apple problem, shoudn’t i have same problem with runeaudio? to me looks like the problem is with rasplex, or with PHT.  
i might try to run PHT on the imac and see if airplay works from ipad to PHT(on the imac)
