# Enable HW transcoding per users

Hello !

A really simple feature I need is to manage which user will have HW transcoding, and which won’t.

In fact, HW transcoding really lower the quality whatever the source and the quality of the file.

I would like to keep SW transcoding for my need, but to let my dear friends with HW transcoding (😃 )
