My guide seems to loose channels every Monday night. When I go in on Tuesday morning, the channel list only shows 2 channels, and the rest are gone. If I manually refresh the EPG it is good again for another week. I made sure I had the scheduled task setup, and it was.
I’ve changed the timeframe of the maintenance to run at 4am, instead of at 2am. I think it might be conflicting with scheduled tasks running on my UnRaid host. I wonder if the docker is updating during the EPG refresh, and it corrupts it. Just a theory.

That is what I just experienced. Out of the 62 shows I currently record, which all are 1 airing/week minimum up to almost 20 airings in a day, only 2 shows are scheduled.
ABC World News Now - 2:35 to 4am
Good Day New York - 7-9am
both are weekday only shows.
It really looks like a guide issue because my EPG is full and looking at the shows under recording priority, all but the ones listed above are marked as “no upcoming airings”. Since I just updated the EPG the night before I didn’t bother doing it again. Instead I went in and changed the DVR settings to NOT use the enhanced guide. The EPG started updating immediately and when it was done the entire schedule appeared. I then re-enabled the enhanced guide and manually prompted an update just to see what happens. Also because I want to make sure the guide data is enhanced, whatever that means. After it completed, all were still listed and most marked as NEW with a pretty little icon.

Excellent feedback. I have never had the “Enhanced Program Guide” box checked for mine, but I am hopeful that this will help others who read this.
I just checked mine, since I have at least one show recording everyday (Thanks to American Ninja Warrior), and it only went out 10 days. I did the manual “Refresh EPG” in the ‘DVR (Beta)’ settings page, and my “Recording Schedule” now goes out 14 days. I know it is a tad redundant, as we have all recorded instances where the EPG was not auto-updating, but I completely deleted and recreated my DVR the other day, rebooted my Plex server, and was really hopeful that it would help.
I consider this about 90% of the importance of the entire DVR setup. If the EPG doesn’t update automatically, or fails to update all together, then there is no point in using it to record your shows, amirite? I really hope the Plex guys jump in to fix this soon. I believe in them, but I’d really like to stop worrying about this.

I’m sure it’s just because they are dramatically changing and developing that portion of Plex and they release the updates in an opensource manor. In other words, we are in part the testers, so we should expect to see silly stuff like this. I just keep thinking about the final version we are working towards.
It’s been a month and everything seems to be working properly again. I am having no issues with EPG updating, which is really nice. I am still running version 1.5.5.3634 so it must have been something that was updated on the Plex side, I suppose. Has this cleared up for everyone else?
I was wrong. It looks like it works, but it was all jacked up the other day and I had to manually update it again. This time, it was just wrong, though. My shows were on the wrong days and everything. I got updated to 1.7.5 after my last post, and then I updated to 1.8.0 the other day when I noticed my EPG was broken again. I also brought it out of FreeNAS and put it on my spare Always-On Windows 10 machine when I upgraded it to 1.8.0. Now that it is out of beta, I really hope that my EPG stops breaking.
It would also be nice if Plex would see shows that I missed and warn me about them somehow. A popup for missed shows, or errors in recordings almost seems like a requirement for such an app. Am I correct in assuming that?
