After updating to the above version, I have been experiencing issues with the DVR/Tuner/EPG.
I observed that the grogram guide was not being updated beyond a fix date, (on Feb 28 it did not go out past Mar 3). When I went to do a manual refresh, I got a message that I needed to delete the DVR and reinstall, which I did.
I have a HDHomerun with M-Card and it is connected to my Optimum cable system (in CT). I selected the device, I selected the Program Guide - Cavlevision 632 channels - and did a scan. It then did an EPG refresh.
Under the Favorites the channels are there and accessible. the EPG loaded 32K+ entries. Yet, some of the channels display Unknown Airing.
Other strange behavior: Use the web access to the server instead of the direct connect to the server IP, The favorites listing shows no program guide. The full channel listing for the server does show all the channels and all the programs, including those showing Airing unknown.
So, looks the the Favorites are not working properly (again).
Could use some help debugging this situation.
I have never seen a message that says to delete the DVR.
Stop Plex and go to the database directory, delete the 3 tv.* files, start Plex and refresh the guide.
Beyond that you would need to upload the debug logs.
Let me provide an update. It seems based on testing and observation that the Favorites get trashed when the DVR is deleted and rebuilt. You have to go and remove all of your favorites and then go to your full channel list and reselect your favorites (and then reorder them if you wish). That is at least my situation.
Now another strange anomaly that has popped up is being able to select a specific channel to record from. I have multiple channels for the same network (ex. NBC in NY and NBC in CT). I have in the past been able to select the NY station (ex 704) and it would record from that specific channel. Now if I try to do that and save the record request, it does not get queued in the DVR schedule. It is listed in Recording Priority as “No upcoming airings”. However an airing is upcoming and it will only be “seen” if I use ANY as the selected channel. And yes I tried both channels and neither one by itself would allow the airing to be seen. This is quite strange behavior.
