# Episode titles missing

all episodes named using filebot, however when looking at tv episodes it has a synopsis underneath but no episode title. It will just have a show name ex. “prodigal son” the complete first season. Then each episode is numbered ep 1,2,3,… in other words the specific episode titles are missing. I have been using plex for years and never had this issue. Can someone please advise how to fix this it takes forever to name each episode. I know this is a common issue but as I said my naming structure is correct I have only run into this maybe the last 2 months.

does it get fixed if you refresh the metadata for that show?

unfortunately not I’ve tried that numerous times I even switched from the TV database to the movie database thinking that might do something but it does not

New Agent:

Edit the Library in question/Advanced - Disable: ‘Prefer Local Metadata’.

Old Agents (Legacy):

After either of those - if Episode Names actually exist at the database(s) a ‘Refresh Metadata’ at the **Show Level** should fix them.
