Hello, I’m a noob on Plex.

I have a Plex Media Server Version 4.59.2 setup on top of a Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS proxmox VM.
I have a Quadro P400 Nvidia passthrough to this VM workink ok.

I have plex pass subscription.

My video and audio library is at a remote ZFS server, shared to Plex via Samba share.
This video and audio library is read only to Plex server.

Problem is I can’t play any video on Plex. I’ve reinstalled several times and I never get it to work

My videos are being displyed on Plex but when I click on them it takes arround 30 seconds until I get a error message as follows:

An error occurred trying to play “Where is Chicky?”.

Error code: s1001 (Network)

I have no idea on where to go from here.

Any help is appreciated

kind regards

You got a ton of these…

> “type”: “log:message”,
> “level”: 1,
> “message”: “[Connections] All connections to plex failed”,
> “time”: “2021-08-16T13:36:22.116Z”

Have you disabled “fallback to insecure” under network?

No… it’s a standard Plex server install. Not touched any custom config.

Should I?

Thanks for the reply.

Mine says “secure connection” “preferred” and I’m pretty sure it did by default.

But I think there are some more serious problems with your network setup - As a test I would try to add some “local” media directly to the Ubuntu machine and see if that works…
