# Error occurred attempting play

on my fire cube when go play video it says this an error occurred while attempting to play video check connection  
I have checked LG tv in other room all fine plays from my cloud home never use to do this

that is a generic error when something cannot play because the reason cannot be determined. networking is often a culprit so that is what checking connection is mentioned but could be very different causes.

getting the [android logs](https://support.plex.tv/articles/201573117-android-android-tv-fire-tv-logs/) from the app on fire tv after error occurs is helpful
