# Error while fetching library access. Please refresh the page

The Plex app for Windows 11 has started loading again (most of the time) when I open it, but it opens very slowly. If it does open, it shows “Error while fetching library access. Please refresh the page.” in the upper right hand corner. This notification is shown every time I click anything in the app. At the moment, playback seems to be working. I used to enjoy this app, but updates to the Windows and Apple ecosystems (still having LiveTV playback problems on my iPad and iPhone) over the last few months have essentially ruined it for me.

Additionally, Plex checks for updates and always fails. When I try to install manually with the provided link, the installation fails.

For good measure, I just attempted manual installation again. Once again, it failed.

I am getting this error from time to time also. It started today. The libraries load but it is slow to load when this error occurs. When the error does not occur the system loads as expected. I am using Edge on Windows 11 25H2. I do have the logs but would rather DM them instead of posting them.
