Have you installed any certificates in the past?
Could you get me screenshot of signing afresh into PMP and then getting the exclamation mark
Also screenshots of chrome sign in sequence
PM sent. I have not installed any certificates for Plex in the past. It’s possible I may have done so for something else in the past but not recently.
Thank you
The PMP screenshots show the Plex Media Server login having the exclamation mark on the server.
I do not believe I had any server logs from you - so please ensure debug logging enabled on the server (Settings / Server / General / Show Advanced) and then sign out the server within settings and then sign in with your email account and get me the logs zip and a screenshot of the server settings general page after the sign in
For the server logs it is Settings / Server / Help / Download logs
With regards to the chrome error, there is this article relating to error ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID which is what you are getting in chrome - one of the tests suggested is in cognito session. Anyway have a look at the whole article and see if anything helps https://www.drivereasy.com/knowledge/fix-err-cert-common-name-invalid-chrome-solved/

Thanks for the article. The Chrome error may have been caused by an adblock extension (Fair Adblocker). Today I whitelisted *.plex.tv and everything worked fine. PMP worked fine as well. I wonder if PMP is somehow logging in through Chrome since that’s my default browser. Seems strange, though–maybe just a coincidence?
I was curious so I re-enabled the extension, and both Chrome and PMP are both working, so somehow it just started working again and I don’t really know why.
So no need to troubleshoot any further, everything seems to be working fine now. Thank you for spending time helping me with this!

I suspect PMP uses chrome because it is the default browser. That is how Plex Media Server System tray icon works when you select Open Plex - the default browser is loaded
So I just tried on a clean FF install. Without HTTPS, I was able to sign in and everything was fine. I switched to HTTPS, got the security warning. I did a 1 time exception (didn’t store the cert) and I have consistent sign in issues.
So I need to whitelist some wildcard cert most likely for this to work well.
