Exporting server from Windows to Nvidia Shield. Any advice?

I've finally got round to purchasing a Nvidia Shield and I'm going to mainly use it as my Plex server.

Before it arrives I'm just wondering if I'll be able to export my current server set up from Windows to save time correcting incorrect matches etc. I've got a rather large collection that has taken countless hours tweaking so far and would rather not have to go through the same ordeal where possible.

Any advice would be most welcome, thanks!

No, it's not possible to move the database/metadata from a PC to the Shield. If you haven't already read all the threads about the current show stopping problems running Plex Server on the Shield TV, I highly recommend you do. Read the threads here and also over on the NVIDIA forums.

Well maybe you should've done a bit more research and you'd find out it's not possible to import the data from your windows system. Sorry!

Thanks for the speedy reply guys.

Yea beginning to wish I'd done far more research in to this as it's not looking like the favourable option now.

Might just stick to my HP microserver for the time being

I don't use either of my Shield TVs for a Plex Server, but they are my primary media playback devices nevertheless. Gaming, streaming, watching TV...you won't be disappointed.

Thanks again!

Can't wait for it to arrive tomorrow. It'll definitely be an upgrade from my Raspberry Pi2
