# Failing initializing and Not authorized after new version update

macOS Tahone ver 26.4 apple M1

Server Version#:Version 1.43.0.10492-121068a07  
Player Version#:Firefox 149.0 \ Samsung Plex app 5.94.1

Crash my server ☹ after app update “

(updated due to slow performance, hoping it would fix it).

after update , server was running very slow. tried reinstalled app but unable to successfully “initializing Plex Media Server” just clocking for 10mins and getting message “Something went wrong”

when opening plex from menu bar , getting the 'Not authorized” -You do not have access to this server.

i’m able to login, but down see server options.

google researching and performed the following -

1- ~/Library/Preferences/

removed file `com.plexapp.plexmediaserver.plist`

2- ran command from MAC terminal

Run the following _individual_ commands in Terminal

- `defaults delete com.plexapp.plexmediaserver PlexOnlineHome`

- `defaults delete com.plexapp.plexmediaserver PlexOnlineMail`

- `defaults delete com.plexapp.plexmediaserver PlexOnlineToken`

- `defaults delete com.plexapp.plexmediaserver PlexOnlineUsername`

3- removed folder - ~/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server\

4- used another email , also logged in from another account on then same computer , same results

Thank you dbirch, for your quick support. Unfortunately, it is still getting “Not Authorized”.

I tried several attempts , including opening a new email account, with the same results.
