your German language implementation of the Plex skill for Alexa is biased…
When I am sitting on my couch, saying loud and clear:
“Alexa, sag PLEX, spiele den Spielfilm ‘Predator’ auf Geraet Wohnzimmer” (Alxa, tell Plex to play the movie ‘Predator’ at device Living Room), then my wife grabs the remote control and ends up playing something like ‘Titanic’. So, I end up alone in the working room, watching ‘Predator’ there.
So, something in your German implementation of that skill goes terribly wrong.
Playing the wrong movie
Playing on the wrong device
Using the remote control
Me ending up being alone
It’s time to fix this… ;-))
Sorry for not attaching any log files… my wife always promises that debugging her would have permanent consequences which I understand as high priority demand (look, my subtitle feature is not broken).
Come on, guys… it’s time to present v1 of the German Plex skill for Alexa.
No more excuses…
Sorry, I thought it would be clear to anybody that I tried to be funny.
This was my take to “invite” you to create a German Plex skill for Alexa.
You have another thread - with the length of Ben Hur movie - in which the German community asks for such a skill:
I did not intend to make fun of you… just taking humor as method of communication.
Telling my wife to switch on a certain movie seldomly works as intended…
Lol I was told the fully functional US skill was being approved for Canada by Amazon back in December. The US skill worked great until the geofence was slapped up. I guess Plex and Amazon feel Canada speak an entirely different English eh? Lol.
Wouldn’t mind so much if I hadn’t talked a few quads into buying into the echo/Plex solution.
Many think home automation is for the lazy. If they only knew the other side.
Don’t hold your breath. Plex doesn’t even respond to Echo questions anymore.
