# Feature Matrix

Is there a feature matrix for Plex available anywhere?
This would be really useful for new users.
I want to know what versions of Plex are fully functional i.e. can play the HD audio formats Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD.
So far the only version I know of is PHT and PMP running on Windows.
The Pi’s can’t play the HD Audio formats.
I believe the even the Nvidia Shield android version can’t play HD Audio.
I can’t get HD Audio on mobile android either.

No there is no such matrix. Technically all Plex apps can support HD audio. The problem is the device the app is installed on and the player software used. Keep in mind that Plex does not write the player used, it relies on the player provided on the device. If the device or the player doesn’t support HD audio, there isn’t much the app can do about it. PHT and PMP will support most HD audio formats as long as the receive it is connected to or the computer it is playing through support that format. The Shield does not support DTS of any type nor Dolby True-HD (but this latter is being worked on).
HD Audio on Android mobile is not going to be possible. Most devices only have 1 or 2 speakers so HD audio is useless. If you are referring to a generic Android box, it depends on what that box and what it is connected to support.
It’s probably easier if you tell us what your setup is and we can tell you if you will get HD audio or not.

@kudos69: Chromebox and Odroid C2, both with OpenPHT, will play all of your codecs (I have both, and the only codec that won’t direct play is E-AC3). Search around the forums and you’ll find setup instructions for both boxes.

How is the odroid box speed wise? With regard to the interface, I’m not a fan of lag. I have a pi2 which is ok but doesn’t come near my 4 year old hp microserver with a smal ssd in it.
