# \[Feature Request\] Clean up updates folder

Currently Plex saves past versions of the application in Windows in the appdata \ updates folder. I’ve accumulated over +700mb of updates. There’s honestly no reason to keep that many old versions of the application there. Others have over 2Gb of older versions of the application saved there. I understand if you need to revert back to 1 or 2 versions back, but storing them forever is a little overkill.
I’m sure this is a widespread problem that many people do not even know about because more users are not scanning their computers looking for files that are taking up a lot of space. Thanks for considering this feature!
