# Feature request: per user bandwidth limits

So it has been nearly 8 months since “Streaming Brain” debuted with a global per stream quality limit and global total bandwidth limit, but no enhancements have been made in that time. Now that the base features exist, I am sure many of us think it would be nice if per stream limit could be moved in to the users → friends → restrictions panel just the same way library access is.

It logically would seem to fit there, since that is where the other restrictions reside. I want to restrict certain users to 1-2Mb/s bitrates, but that doesn’t mean I want to restrict **myself** every time I’m away from home.
