# Feature Request: Playlist Sonic Shuffle

It would be great to be able to shuffle a playlist using sonic similarities.

For example I might manually add 100 tracks to a birthday playlist but then have that shuffled to reorder the tracks so that they have a similarly-based flow …

That is a [very expensive](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Travelling_salesman_problem) operation.

Ah yes I see . . . I do wonder if it’s the kind of ‘advanced’ option that could be in a “queued offline playlist maker” type task? So a ‘reorder my playlist’ as a timed task like overnight library scanning or sonic analysis? its not something that I could see myself wanting to keep re-running on the same playlist but as a quick way of making ‘better’ ordered playlists

It’s probably not worth it but might be genuinely excellent - almost like a constrained/tweaked sonic adventure? or enhanced party-mode?
