generate plex-nfo file, save time, move films easier Hi there, it looks like that "moving (scanned) films to other section" [is not possible](http://forums.plexapp.com/index.php/topic/49768-feature-request-the-ability-to-move-items-to-a-different-section-in-web-manager/page\_\_view\_\_findpost\_\_p\_\_310006). Maybe i´ve a nice idea for a workaround. Click on a "correct scanned film", let PLEX generate a special "Plex Info File" as a example, into the moviefolder/subfolder (x:/Lord Of Rings(2003)/PLEXINFO/info.plex) with all Details that PLEX need to identify the correct data. This has two or more benefits: 1. a new scan is more faster, because you have clicked on "correct scanned film", this tells PLEX that a new scan is not needed 2. if you decide to move your films (files and folder), PLEX can read the info.plex file for faster identifying the correct details just an idea, but it would a powerful feature! this would save many, many, many time, not only for new users (without a concrete plan about sections), they move films very often in the first weeks of use.. one other Example: for a faster view, i´ve a section called: New Films, i use plexapp on my samsung tv, and if you have tested this app, the navigation is very slow (with films \>60 in each sections) just one or two month later, i move the films to an other, correct section (like Thriller, Comedy, Action...) as i said, a PLEX Info File would "Save many many Time" Thanks Chris ---

> [@](#): > > only nine? :) Kinda redundant IMO, if you follow the naming guide, the file names will give you this, if you don't want to follow the naming guide, you can just embed the metadata within the file itself - identifying the naming is a very very fast process if you are already doing either of those... ---
