I am sure this has to have been brought up before, but rather than having my Plex Versions for optimization, I would love a feature that does this a little more intelligently on the back-end where we can select a drive we’d like to use for faster access to media as well as the stored versions rather than the optimization or just in lieu of that.
I have drives mapped via the NAS but at times, and of no fault of Plex or anything else, they can sometimes be lost for brief periods (switch power lost, reboots, etc) and it would be nice to have the ability to cache the files by certain parameters on the back-end and no longer worry about it.
The current method I use is via the Optimize rules, but none the less, I thought this might be nice to have in one place to just set it and go.
