I am having problems getting Plex to pick up the correct titles to a tv series. The video files come from a DVD compilation and I suspect that each MP4 file contains metadata which is preventing Plex get the correct title from [thetvdb.com](http://thetvdb.com).

Can i get Plex to ignore file meta-data?

- Open Plex Web
- Go to `Settings > Agents`
- Select `Shows`
- Move `Local Media Assets (TV)` to the bottom of the list for all applicable agents (or uncheck it entirely – this will however also prevent Plex from picking up on local posters, subtitles etc.)
  - `Personal Media Shows`
  - `TheTVDB`
  - `The Movie Database`
