# FIle Not showing

Have you rescanned your library since re-adding the file?  
If you have and that didn’t bring back the file immediately, try out these steps (aka [Plex Dance](https://forums.plex.tv/t/the-plex-dance/197064)):

1. `Explorer` → move the file outside the scope of Plex
2. `Plex` → scan the library for file updates
3. `Plex` → empty trash, clean bundles
4. `Explorer` → return the file to its original place
5. `Plex` → scan the library for file updates
