# Finding or enabling logs older that 1 day

Dear all,

Can someone tell me where i can turn-on an option that would allow me to gather logs older than just the current day ?

Disable “verbose” logging.  
Keep only “debug” logging active.  
Then restart the server.

If that still isn’t enough because you are scanning all libraries daily or have dozens of users playing from your server every day, you can increase the number of log files to be kept in “rotation”.  
Add the hidden preference `LogNumFiles` to your server configuration. [Advanced, Hidden Server Settings | Plex Support](https://support.plex.tv/articles/201105343-advanced-hidden-server-settings/)  
Don’t use numbers above ~30.

I’ve just added the pref you mentionned inside the xml files. I’ll wait a couple of days and let you know.
