# Folder is convert in Playlist

In my movie folder, I create some subfolder for regroup some kind of movie (ex: Marvel, Starwars, …) I know i can show my movie by folder. But I think the integration can be better if a can select “Folder playlist” and see all my Marvel movie in the same place and if i add new movie il the folder, all is automatic.

That is what collections are for. But if you make a smart playlist say out of a collection or studio tag (or whatever tag) then yeah things that later get the tag will automatically be added to playlist.

There’s already an existing feature suggestion to allow (manual) creation of smart playlists based on what folder a file is in (however no votes so far).

There’s also a feature suggestion asking to automatically create collections based on a movie’s parent folder (as per your description)
