# Force Pre-Roll Vdeos on remote users!

I would love to be able to force pre-roll videos on my remote users. I would like to see pre-rolls be completely separated from the trailers feature. No one knows about it to actually go into the settings on their device and enable the feature themselves. It should be the PMS host’s option. Who’s with me on this?

I like making my own cinematics, I don’t care if they see trailers, but I do want them to see the cinematic before the movie

Why do people insist that polls help them get their idea across? They DON’T… Seldom do people provide enough choices in a poll to reflect the way other users want to see something. Polls should be restricted to the people that can use the data from them. Developers or marketing from Plex. I would venture a guess that most Plex Team members don’t even look at poll results made by users… Users making polls are efforts of futility,
You want a feature that’s not in Plex yet? Fine… Make a Feature Request as everyone else has done before you. Wait for others to vote that request up, and when it gets enough traction it becomes a newly added Feature. Making a poll, as a user, is wasted efforts. No one looks at it but other users. It definitely doesn’t impact how soon the things covered in the poll become live.
As far as the idea here goes? Could care less one way or the other. I don’t have pre-rolls, doubt I will ever make one, and think the whole idea is pretty silly, actually.

Yep. Pre-roll video is diferent from trailer. It will be nice if server admin can force preroll video for specific users, for specific library or for whole server.

At least have an option for the admin to choose if he wants to force a pre-roll or not. It depends on his situation, really.

any world that you are getting access to free content on. I have a 4 second clip I want to force on all movie playbacks without an actual trailer playing. its a short clip with my server name in a netflix like intro
as the server owner I see no issues with forcing this clip on my users, if my users dont like it then watch TV where i wont force it and if that doesnt work for them there is legit paid streaming services. that still have access to your data and spam you you can use.

I have tested with a family members account via web that my preroll plays before a movie without a trailer playing. its only client specific that you can opt out for now.
AppleTV and Xbox One I had to turn on trailers to get clip to play and was forced to watch a movie trailer on each platform first before my preroll would play. I still have PS4 and Roku and Chromecast to check
\*\*\*update roku has a setting to show pre-rolls only in the trailers section, wish AppleTV and Xbox has those options…

I’d like to see this implemented separately from trailers. If I want to preroll something before a movie hosted on my gear, I should be able to.

why because you dont want to use it? I am asking for an option to force it or not. I want to and many of my friends and family love the clip lol so some have asked how to enable it
