# Force transcoding just sometimes, for certain movies

Hi,  
  
  
I setted “Force direct play” and “Force transcode” to False in the settings of my aTV, and I enjoy my PlexConnect like that. But sometimes, for certains movies, PlexConnect don’t play the audio (AAC 2.0). So I have to go to settings and set Force Transcode to True, to be able to play my video with the audio. Then I have to go back to settings to set back to False.  
  
  
Would it be possible to find a way to be able to Force Transcode just once, when I need for one vidéo (maybe in the preview menu, or subs/audio menu ? We could have the “force transcode” option for the video, affecting just the current video, it would be very usefull, and would make my day).

I'm having the same issue, only for certain files- I have to set it to TRUE for them to play on my ATV3. &nbsp;By the way "force transcode" is named, it gives the impression that (if set to false) it will only transcode when needed, which is what I would like. &nbsp;It doesn't, however, and should be named "transcode" instead. &nbsp;Can someone clarify?
