# Fresh Linux Install unclaimable

Server Version#: v.1.40.1.8227-c0dd5a73e  
Player Version#: /

Just freshly installed a LXC Container in proxmox with Plex Media Server.  
The server loads just fine, I can access the webpage on [http://plex:32400/web](http://plex:32400/web).

It prompts me to login, add my pincode and then boom: “Unauthorized”.  
I can’t even claim it.

Tried 3 fresh installs, all the same issue.  
[https://support.plex.tv/articles/204281528-why-am-i-locked-out-of-server-settings-and-how-do-i-get-in/](https://support.plex.tv/articles/204281528-why-am-i-locked-out-of-server-settings-and-how-do-i-get-in/) is garbage support, as the variables aren’t even in the Preferences.xml on my server.

Tried clearing browser cache, making sure I’m logged out, even deleted the Preferences.xml file, nothing works.

Anyone got any idea? Is there a way to claim this server through CLI?

Is the browser from which you’re attempting to claim it running on a host which is on the same network as the newly-installed server? For initial claiming, it must be.

If that fails, another option is
