# Getting a "Conversion failed. Transcoder crashed or failed to start up" error

Might need the [plex dance](https://forums.plex.tv/t/the-plex-dance/197064) but please before you do that, could you get me [server logs](https://support.plex.tv/articles/200250417-plex-media-server-log-files/) and time of the Shaka1001 error
