There is currently a bug in the code that affects the pre-play screen some users; PlexConnect appears to work until you hit the select button to get to the pre-play screen.

You can avoid this by hitting the “play” button rather than the “select” (centre) button on your Apple remote when selecting a movie or episode, this will skip the pre-play screen and start the media playing.

This is because of some metadata being missing. It happens when there are no actors, directors, or genres in your metadata.

Not just pre-5.1.

It happens to every version, depending on the quality/quantity of metadata available...

Heyo!

Just like to say super great work with this – loving having Plex on the aTV, dream come true! Got the latest version from Github yesterday.

So far it’s working smoothly, though sadly I’m getting intermittent occurrences of this issue with some (apparently arbitrary) TV seasons/episodes.

Console output whenever the “Trailers is unavailable” message hits:

```
Seeing the ‘KeyError’ I flipped force transcoding on and that seemed to fix it, but don’t really want to have to leave this on.
Any help appreciated, cheers!
I thought the 40Mbps was only in the Elan branch at the moment.
Yes f00bar, you are right.
I bet he was using Elan's fork, setting the "quality" and changing to the base line yesterday.
sneppid =\> Please delete the file "ATVSettings.cfg" or do a "Quality" change in aTV-\>PlexConnect-\>Settings (this should bring you back to the supported numbers).
Ah yes I was using the Elan branch initially (hence the folder name in the console) but when that failed constantly (same error) I cleaned out the dir and switched to the latest one from your guy's github.
Thanks for the help! I'll give it a go and report back.
**edit** : Cheers, worked a treat.
Hi,
I just started to use plexconnect today, and I have the same problem, "Trailers is unavailable". I downloaded plexconnect from [https://github.com/iBaa/PlexConnect/archive/XML\_templates.zip.](https://github.com/iBaa/PlexConnect/archive/XML_templates.zip.)
Pressing play launches the movie.
I have a jailbroken Apple Tv 2 with the plex app ( with firmware 5.0.2 )
Thanks !
It is a known issue that has been fixed in the main branch, if you are using Elan's fork (the one with on deck etc) then you will need to live with the workaround until we can merge his changes in (there is some changes to the underpinnings needed to do that and it will require users to be on 5.1+ firmware).
Alternatively you can switch to the code in the main branch.
f00b4r, mine's really weird. If I press the select button (center button), I get 'Trailer is unavailable' error but when I press the play/pause button, it does work.
I am using Elan's git repo.
Is this a bad thing or a good thing?
