Server Version#: 1.42.1.10060
Player Version#: N/A

I have (had) 2 Media servers one in Ireland (on Windows 11) and the other in France (Ras pi - holiday home). I lost connectivity to the France server a couple of days ago and was getting all sorts of strange errors when trying to diagnose.

The most fundemental is “ **Your connection isn’t private”** when trying to connect to [https://plex.tv](https://plex.tv) from french server in browser and also from Windows PC in France. Pinging plex.tv from France gives 54.73.99.55 as the IP. nslookup gives:

_Server: unifi.localdomain
Address: 192.168.4.1_ - this is local router which points to Bouygues Telecom (my ISP)

_Non-authoritative answer:
Name: plex.tv
Addresses: 54.72.14.50
54.73.99.55_

When I try the same thing from the Ireland based server (using Windows Remot Desktop connection) I have no SSL issues and when I ping plex.tv the IP is 52.209.82.108. nslookup gives:

_Server: dns.google
Address: 8.8.8.8_

_Non-authoritative answer:
Name: plex.tv
Addresses: 52.209.82.108
52.213.108.76_

I have no VPNs set up.

[https://app.plex.com](https://app.plex.com) doesn’t throw the error at either location.

Attempting to log into [https://forums.plex.com](https://forums.plex.com) does trigger the “ **Your connection isn’t private”** because it first redirects to [https://plex.tv](https://plex.tv) for the login process

Is this a Plex problem or somewhere else in the system?

SSH into the command line of the remote machine.

Download and run this on that remote Linux machine.

Thanks ChukPa.

I already messed up the France based linux server trying to resolve the issues. So I wiped it and will reinstall tomorrow. Not a big deal.

Do you have any thoughts on why I get SSL error when I try the URL from the France ISP? See below. This is messing up all update and/or reinstallation steps because the authentication steps redirect to [https://plex.tv](https://plex.tv). Are 54.73.99.55 and 54.72.14.50 valid Pleax IP addresses with missing SSL certs or is the DNS in France pointing to the wrong IPs?

SSL does require date & time to be in tight sync in the correct time zone.

Those addresses are the Amazon AWS servers which Plex.tv uses
but I cannot get any valid connection to Plex.tv using them

Try using these addresses instead.

```auto
[chuck@lizum ~.2013]$ nslookup plex.tv
Server: 127.0.0.53
Address:	127.0.0.53#53
Non-authoritative answer:
Name:	plex.tv
Address: 52.213.108.76
Name:	plex.tv
Address: 52.209.82.108
[chuck@lizum ~.2014]$
```

If these work then I will contact Operations and let them know of the problem.

52.213.108.76 and 52.209.82.108 do work for [https://plex.tv](https://plex.tv) at the France location.

I connected to them by overriding my ISP’s (Bouygues Telecom) DNS and using google (8.8.8.8).

Thanks
