# Getting Started with Live TV/DVR on NAS

Server Version#: 1.24.3.5033-757abe6b4  
Tuner Make/Model:

I’m confused on getting started with this. I have a Premium Pass on my NAS Plex Server. No problem serving Music and Movies that are downloaded onto the device. I know I need an antenna for Live TV, but don’t understand what type of device connects the antenna to the NAS (something with a network connection). The Plex.tv page isn’t really clear on physical connectivity. Can someone please provide clarity? Thanks.

You need a networked TV tuner. It tunes the station, then sends the stream over your network to your Plex Media Server. The Plex Media Server then saves the show/movie/etc. to the designated Plex library, streams it to your Plex clients, etc.

Antenna ----\> Tuner \<----\> Plex Media Server
