# Ghost server

My server computer wound up getting a virus somehow, no idea how, I never browse or anything on it. It’s just my plex server. I had to reformat to get rid of it. When I reinstalled Plex, it’s showing an unavailable instance of my server, and a newly created instance of my server. How do I get rid of the unavailable one? The other topics I’ve seen here with similar problems all say clean the registry, delete old files, etc., but this is a clean install of Windows 11 Pro. There are no old files to clean.

You should be able to remove the old server ID from your account:  
[https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/settings/devices/pms](https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/settings/devices/pms)
