Plex has slowly disabled me from playing any of my content without subscribing. First I couldn’t watch my media on my phone while I washed dishes. Then the kids TV. Tonight the front room tv beside my desk that houses my server requires me to pay.

I know it’s probably an easy fix to those in these forums but it’s not for me. I’ve had plex since my friend installed it onto my original Xbox. I’ve always used Rokus because of its support for Plex. It was always simple because it just worked. Now it doesn’t. Now I have to go find something else that does.

My kids grew up thinking it was weird their friends didn’t have the plex channel. Well not anymore because now neither do we. This is more of a vent because j don’t know where to voice my frustration. Thank you for reading though.

If this is your server in your home there is some sort of networking issue if you’re being prompted to pay on any of your devices when on your own wi-fi.

As @nx6 said, you shouldn’t be being asked to subscribe if you are on the same network (and subnet) as your server.

It probably really is a simple fix if you’re willing to give a little information.

Plex certainly has it’s issues recently, but access on your own network is one of the things that usually is trouble-free.
