# Google Assistant search on Android TV broken

Searching for media via the google assistant and having it open the media in plex has been broken for some time now. It is ridiculous that what used to be a single button click has turned into 4+ button click(and the load time of the app+search). I see multiple entries in this forum with no response from either the devs or plex social. What is going on with this feature and can we expect it to be fixed at some point? If this feature is no longer a priority to fix then just say it and we can at least have a resolution. I understand that plex wants to be a(the) ‘search hub’ but it is inconvenient for the end user to jump through multiple hoops when there is the option to only jump through one(google assistant). For the love all all things holy, just tell us that google assistant search dead so we can accept it.
