So now that we’ll be able to voice control Chromecast video via Google Home for YouTube and Netflix, we’re definitely going to need support for Plex! 🙂 ---

This is what I’m looking for as well. Waiting for Plex support to buy my ‘Google Home’. I’d like to be able to say, “Ok, Google, play the next episode of South Park” or “Ok, Google, Pause Plex”. ---

Just got my Google Home as well and the only video app currently supported is YouTube! Can’t wait for Plex integration. ---

At a minimum link it up with IFTTT and get us some recipes to do what we need. ---

Agree. I’d prefer native support on Home/Assistant platform for Google, but at the very least get on IFTTT ---

Btw, for now, you can still use google home to pause and resume playback, but you just can’t cast with your voice. Start casting something to your chromecast from plex, and then say, google, pause the tv, and then just say “play” to resume. Obviously the ideal situation will be, hey google, play xx on the tv, but until then, at least the pause and play functions work. ---

Got a Google Home for Christmas from the wife and would love Plex support just like Netflix has support. I asked via Plex facebook message on the integration of Plex with Google Home. Their reply was “It’s not something we have direct control over currently, but we’d certainly like to improve that listing in the future.” ---
