# Google TV new UI integration

In a few days Google will release a new UI for exisitng and new Android TV boxes called, Google TV.
I suggest integrating PLEX to this UI cause in Google TV the system will lose the “channels” section and the Up next section. Now it will be like [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FBr32yD-Ui4)
I’d love seeing PLEX fully integrated in this new UI

I have seen this suggested elsewhere. It might not be technically feasible.
The “For You” tab on new Google TV isn’t pulling data locally. Same for recommendations. Google suggests stuff based on Google search trends and your search history, and what content streaming services want to push.
On the home page, it even recommends things on services you don’t subscribe to, indicated by a lock icon.
If anyone has the new Chromecast, let us know how Plex Android TV app looks.

When you select a movie to watch you can choose where to watch it: from Netflix, HBO (obviously if this movie is in these services) buying it, renting it, etc
Maybe PLEX could appear in these options

i’ve got confirmation that this new home screen can’t be populated by apps themselves. It will only be populated by online content catalogue that Google controls.
